My family lived in the territory of the Contrada of the Torre, one of the 17 districts existing in Siena that organize the Palio Horse Race twice a year on July 2 and August 16. and during the fascist regime witnessed the deportations and the povery of the jewish district in Siena.
This is one of the reasons I discovered the splendid Jewish heritage history in Siena and Tuscany since when I was young.
We will visit the Sinagogue and learn about the history of the Jewish community in Tuscany and Italy, meeting their community, their trades and their experiences.
During the tour we may also visit the Museum of Memory that is focusing on the history of Tuscany up to the
II World War
